Who We Are And What We Do
Dr. Amy Horn

Dr. Amy Horn

Doctor of Chiropractic

Quote: “At the end of the day, I get to go home knowing that I have impacted many lives for the better, Naturally!”

Dr. Amy Horn grew up in a chiropractic household. Her grandfather, Dr. Ed Philippi, practiced in South St Louis for 33 years. The Chiropractic “way of life” was implemented early on. After a high school assignment which involved interviewing a local chiropractor, Dr. Horn knew that following in her grandfather’s footsteps was exactly what she wanted to do.

Dr. Horn has been witness to many chiropractic miracles from very young babies to great grandparents. Her great success in assessing and treating patients has earned her spots on the local news and speaking engagements throughout the community.

Dr. Horn’s pre-chiropractic education took place at St Louis Community College at Meramec where she studied Anatomy and Physiology, Organic Chemistry, and Physics.

Chiropractic Education

After completing the prerequisite requirements, Dr. Horn began Logan College of Chiropractic in the winter of 1997. Her studies there included Gross Anatomy, biochemistry, radiology, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care. After graduating in the Spring of 2000, Dr. Horn began practice in the St Louis area.

Since beginning practice Dr. Horn has encountered patients with varying types of symptoms and conditions, some with no symptoms or conditions at all! It has become her particular passion to treat patients as a whole, the physical, mental and chemical aspects of their health. While most people associate Chiropractic care with pain, it is in particular the functioning of the Nervous System that is Dr Horn’s main focus. The Nervous system is the main system of the body that controls everything else down to the immune system cells. This is why Dr Horn’s youngest patients come in shortly after birth ~ the body’s first “physical” trauma!

Life Outside the Clinic

Dr. Horn takes what she teaches her patients and applies it to her family as well. Actually it started the other way around! Dr. Horn is married to Ken and they have three children. Kade, Kannon, and Annie started life in the most natural of ways, they were all born at home. Dr. Horn supports her children’s health with bi-weekly adjustments, good nutrition, and various vitamin supplements. Her family is her motivation to extend good health and aspects of wellness to her patients.

Dr. Caitlin Cross

Dr. Caitlin Cross

A Valmeyer, IL native, Dr. Caitlin Cross remembers her first experience with a Chiropractor through a sports injury in high school. Because of the healing power of Chiropractic, she was able to fully recover, return to the field quickly, and maximize her performance. Fast forward to the stress of college life, and accompanying chronic migraines, Chiropractic became the only solution that worked. These experiences made it clear that a career in Chiropractic was perfect for her, post-education.
Dr. Cross’ is an alumnus of Fontbonne University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She also enjoyed a successful career as part of the university’s softball team, winning three consecutive conference championships, and playing in three NCAA Division III national tournaments.

Chiropractic Education:

After completing her education at Fontbonne University, Dr. Cross enrolled in Logan University’s Doctor of Chiropractic program in the summer of 2015. During her chiropractic education, Dr. Cross was compelled to pursue a Master of Nutritional Sciences degree, because of the importance of nutrition in holistic health and wellness. Dr. Cross completed her education at Logan University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master of Nutritional Sciences degrees in 2018. In addition to both degrees, she also completed her Certification in Acupuncture, and over 100 hours of Acupuncture training through the university.
In her time practicing, Dr. Cross has partnered with many patients and has continued to place an emphasis on chiropractic wellness. Her passion in working with children and pregnancy led her to pursue her Webster Certification and Certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatricians (CACCP). Her primary focus is helping those in her care to achieve optimal nervous system function through chiropractic care.

Life Outside the Clinic:

Dr. Cross married her husband, Kyle, in 2017.They welcomed their first child, Jameson, in July of 2020. You will usually find them spending time outdoors, at local farmers markets, or exploring nearby parks with Jameson and their dog, Sonya. Dr. Cross continually supports her family’s holistic lifestyle through adjustments, supplements, and the use of non-toxic products throughout their household.

Christy

Patient Advocate

Christy wears many hats in our office, and her official “title” fits her perfectly! She earned the title of patient advocate early on in her career.

While you may hear her answering the phone, verifying insurance, or see her behind the controls of our scanning technology, she ultimately is committed to giving our patients a welcoming and valuable experience while sharing the many benefits she sees through chiropractic care! She is here as your advocate, your source for answers, and always a friendly face to greet you!

She especially loves hearing your Chiropractic success stories and will always welcome a birth story (and possibly share her own).

Personally, Christy and her husband Rob share four children, Nora, Caden, Silas, and Grady. All of whom are regulars for their adjustments as well! Her dog, Toby, keeps her in tip-top shape with daily walks and a happy greeting after a busy day.

She has lived the chiropractic lifestyle for many years and is ready to serve at a moment’s notice!
